John F. Grogan appointed senior credit officer and executive vice president

SEATTLE - John F. Grogan has joined Seattle Savings Bank as Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer, announced Ellen Sas, the company’s president and chief executive officer.
Grogan will be overseeing the credit administration function which includes loan approval, credit policy, appraisal services, centralized underwriting, collections and special assets.
Grogan is a senior banking executive with more than thirty years of experience in lending at west coast financial institutions. His most recent position was Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at First Independent Bank of Vancouver, Washington. In this position, he managed loan approval, credit services, appraisals, centralized underwriting, the loan service center and the special assets departments. Grogan has deep and broad experience in commercial real estate, commercial and industrial lending, private banking and consumer lending. Prior to First Independent Bank, his banking resume includes leadership positions at various community banks and 20 years with Bank of America/Seafirst.
